Comprehensive, Accessible Climate Education

Climate learning in local schools

Lighthouse Aotearoa delivers expert facilitation of the Climate Change Learning Programme - an NZAEE accredited resource developed by Future Curious - in schools across Te Tauihu o Te Waka.

We take our commitment to comprehensive climate education very seriously, and are mindful of the magnitude of the subject as well as the impacts of climate change and other environmental issues on emotional wellbeing. We therefore prioritise fun and engaging activities, and students making their voices heard in open, informal class discussions.

The Programme is and will always be free to teachers and home educators, and we can support all who
wish to engage with the programme with a range of facilitation options.

If you are interested in incorporating the Climate Change Learning Programme in your school or organisation, please use the links provided below to submit a no-obligation expression of interest. The Programme is national in scope, and can support you wherever you are in Aotearoa.

Keen to adopt a class?

Lighthouse Aotearoa is incredibly grateful to the Nelson, Tasman, and Marlborough Councils for their support of Climate Change Learning Programme facilitation.

However, we still have more interested teachers and schools than funded classes!

If you or your organisation would like to enable more children in our region to access climate education, explore our donation options at the link below:
